The car, introduced with a flashy light and sound program, is the embodiment of everything BMW – known for its superior driving dynamics and innovative technology -- is known for, said Klaus Draeger, head of development for BMW.
BMW demonstrated the BMW's two-piece retractable hardtop roof on the show floor and also touted its BMW ActiveHybrid vehicles, which will be ready for production in 2009 and will hit U.S. showrooms by the end of this year.
